Adult Day Services - Work Readiness Program
The Work Readiness Program provides pre-employment
services which prepare individuals with the most significant
developmental disabilities for future Supported Employment.
Work Readiness Program participants will:
• Identify feasible vocational options based on their own
strengths, interests and preferences
• Improve workplace communication skills
• Gain cognitive skills vital for self-control and for
developing appropriate social behavior
• Learn day-to-day problem-solving skills
• Acquire basic work skills through a community-based
internship / work experience program
The program participants must have a diagnosis of developmental disability - documented in an updated psychological report – as well as a psycho-social report, medical report and IEP.
Upon completion of the Work Readiness Program, the participant will be referred to the Supported Employment Program – Intensive Phase.
