Notes:
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) provides up to a one-time $2,400 federal tax credit for employers to hire individuals with barriers to employment who are economically disadvantaged. A companion Welfare-to-Work Tax Credit (W2W) provides federal credits totaling up to $8, 500 over a two-year period for businesses that hire "long-term" public assistance recipients.
The new Work Employment Tax Credit for Persons with Disabilities (WETC) provides a one-time state credit of up to $2,100 for companies employing qualified individuals who have received vocational rehabilitation services.
