NEWS FLASH!

Contemporary Guidance Services, Inc., celebrates the new millennium with an exciting new initiative! CGS was recently awarded one of eleven highly competitive Projects with Industry grants from the federal government. CGS was the only New York rehabilitation agency to receive the grant, funded for a five-year period by the U.S. Department of Education.

This new initiative will support CGS efforts to reach and serve 125 individuals with disabilities and other significant barriers to employment. Through the resources provided by the grant, CGS will train and place developmentally disabled and severely disadvantaged individuals in jobs in a variety of private industries. CGS attributes its success in acquiring the award to its years of successful training and placement of hard-to-serve clients and its strong partnerships with the corporate community in metropolitan New York.
